For over 30 years, Dawn dish soap has been an important part of rescuing and releasing more than 75,000 wild animals affected by oil pollution. We’ve donated thousands of bottles to wildlife rescue workers at The Marine Mammal Center and International Bird Rescue. Learn more about what Dawn and our partners are doing at

Helping Save Wildlife For Over 30 Years

Our partners do more than rescue wildlife. They’re educating and inspiring the world about the wellbeing of animals, habitat conservation, and the health of our oceans.

International Bird Rescue (IBR)

Founded in 1971, International Bird Rescue is a nonprofit wildlife organization committed to caring for birds affected by both natural and man-made disasters, such as oil spills and marine debris. Each year, IBR’s two world-class centers in California care for over 5,000 birds - including pelicans, herons, albatrosses, and other aquatic species. Their spill response teams have led rescue efforts in over 200 incidents across six continents. And since 1978, they’ve trusted Dawn®, whose grease-fighting formula is tough on oil, yet gentle on the animals’ delicate skin.

Dawn’s donation helps support IBR’s rehabilitation and research programs, as well as its growing volunteer network and educational programs that inspire the next generation of wildlife champions.

The Marine Mammal Center (TMMC)

The Marine Mammal Center is a state-of-the-art nonprofit veterinary hospital and research center made up of over 1,000 volunteers. Since 1975, they’ve dedicated themselves to the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured, or orphaned marine mammals - like seals, sea lions, and dolphins. Based in Sausalito, California, TMMC also doubles as an education center, teaching more than 100,000 kids and adults each year about the animals, ocean health, and connections we all share.

Dawn’s donations to TMMC are vital to its core mission: to give marine mammals a second chance at life, expand awareness of the earth’s oceans and its inhabitants, and to inspire care and conservation in future generations.
